I want to say this is the modern wet market. We found out while we were hunting for our lunch. I didn't see this market during my trip in 2009. So I think it was built and open during 2010. It is located right behind the Jungceylon shopping mall.
I recommend this place if you are kind of interested in local delicacy and like shopping in wet market for fresh seafood and vegetables.
If I am not wrong it is 2 storey building. Second floor is populated with food court, Textile, souvenir, fashion shop and the ground floor is filled with seafood, vegetable stalls, Ready made packet food and appetizer stall.
I bought some packets of Faluda which cost only a few baht (20 or 30 bahts)
I bought some dry shrimp, ikan bilis as a souvenir. The price is cheaper than Myanmar. I tasted their different kind of fish pastes and the taste great.
Location : Behind Jungceylon shopping mall, Patong beach, Phuket

They are very delicious and one of my favourite snacks. It is quite rare to see Kyait Mont vendor these day. Hope it won't obsolete in the future. They usually sell door to door by shouting "Kyait Mont , Kyait Mont" and you call if you want to eat.
The vendor told me "It will be great if other people also eat like you (a lot), then I don't need to walk too far and can go home early." :o Normally the vendors come from outside Myo Thit / Industrial Zone which is quite far from City.
I passed Yadanabon Univeristy on my way to U Bein bridge, So I drove motorcycle inside the school campus and a took a few photos, I noticed that the security guy is watching me. Even thought this is not my university, I took a few photos to share in my Blog.
