Raya Island Tour, Phuket #1 (Coral Island)

After Phi Phi Island Tour and Jame Bond Island Tour, I decided to visit Raya Island Tour as last island in our trip. I haven't written about Jame Bond Island Tour, may be later. There is no Raya tour in my first trip at 2009. It is a new tour package started in 2010, so the island is most well- preserved nature compare to Phi Phi Island. In Phuket, you will see Tourist booths every corner of the street. They sells tour packages, taxi services. You have to remember that you need to bargain every purchase in Thailand. Sometime Half price :) Raya Island tour, the booth quoted 1200 Baht per person, since I knew the price of Raya package. I managed to get it with 900Baht per person. Package includes, 2 ways transportation from hotel to Pier, buffet lunch, free flow fruit/juice and insurance.

8 am. We are waiting for Raya Tour Driver in front of the hotel. This friendly dog come and accompany us.

This is the Bonus butt. :)

Now we are leaving to Pier. As you can see the weather is not so good. Look like it going to rain and having strong wave. That kind of weather is quite dangerous for island hopping.

Forget about the weather. Now we arrived at Pier, greet with our tour guide (The best guide compare to Phi Phi/Jame Bond tour) and waiting for leaving.

A few photos taken at Pier.

his look like private boat. Staff preparing refreshment for tourists.

This is our boat. We are heading to our first destination of the tour which is Coral Island.

As the first destination of Raya Island tour, we reached Coral Island and spend about one hour. You can do snorkeling but not so many fish, but ery good place for swimming.

This ride look quite fun but I never tried it. I spend the whole one hour by snorkeling and taking photos.

As you can see in the photo below, It was such a cloudy day and it rain intermittently.

This is the overview of the Coral island taken from the speed boat.
