Mandalay Mobile Food Vendors

One thing I like about Mandalay is that even thought it becomes such a big city, the culture of Mandalay is still maintained. Like those mobile food vendors selling delicious traditional foods door to door.

Burmese traditional food are relatively cheap and very tasty.

I can imagine this is a very tough job. They have to carry heavy load around to town and shout their available food names to get people attention. They will very happy to meet customer like me and my family because our house have a lot of people and we used to eat a lot.  So that their load become lighter, sold out earlier and can go home earlier.

This time, I just eaten a heavy meal and too full to try a lot of food. But I still manged to eat that small bowl of NanGyi Toke (Rice noodle salad). Don't underestimated what she sells, I was shocked by a variety of food available eg, different types of salad (rice, noodle, tofu, papaya) and fish noodle soup (arr pu shar pu). All are packed in this wooden tray.

I have tried to lift her wooden tray and it was very heavy. She put it on her head and walk around the town on a daily basis.
