Mahar Wizaya Pagoda, Yangon #1

After taking photo at Shwe Dagon Pagoda, I saw the another Pagoda, Mahar Wizaya, which is standing opposite to Shwe Dagon. I used to skip this pagoda in my past trips in Yangon, but this time I decided to explore it.

Those birds and fishes are poor things. You buy them from this aunty and set them free. After that, they catch and put them in the cage again. It is the life cycle of these poor animals' lives.

Beside this bridge, there is the pond for tortoise and fish.

Shwe Dagon Pagoda can be seen from Mahar Wizaya Pagoda.

Let's go inside with me on the next post.

Once I entered inside the stupa, I saw this place with artificial Banyan tree. Inside the stupa, there are a lot of replica of the famous pagodas from around the country.

These are the replicas of famous pagodas from around the country. It is good to see all the famous pagodas in one place.

I had finished exploring inside this pagoda. This is my first time visiting and never thought that this is a worth place to visit. Even though it is not a well known pagoda, it still has it own attractions.

If you have plan to visit to the Shwe Dagon Pagoda, you can visit this pagoda on your way back. It is just standing next to it. And there is no admission fee.
