Shwenandaw Kyaung Temple, Mandalay

Shwenandaw Kyaung temple is located on the other side of Kuthodaw Pagado. The meaning of this temple is Shwe=Golden , Nandaw= Palace, Kyaung= monastery. It is a very old temple full with ancient Burmese wooden crafts all over the palace. I think the whole palace was built by teak.

During my visit, there were a few guided tour groups there. Entrance fee is imposed for both local and tourists of course tourists have to pay more.

She is the world famous model at this temple. You can take her portrait by buying flower from her.

There is no light inside the palace. You will find a lot of antique Buddhas and furniture.

These teak pillars look very old but still they are standing strong.

really like to see those very detail crafts made by our ancestor hanging all over the palace. They look very cute and interesting.
