Kaung Mu Daw Pagoda

Kaung Mu Daw Pagoda conveniently is located on the way of Mandalay to Monywa. This was my first visit after the pagoda was painted to Gold. Previously, the pagoda was painted in white which lots of people' prefer including myself. However, it still looks amazing with gold color. The only problem is that it doesn't look like ancient pagoda anymore. It looks like a newly-built replica. Someone told me that this pagoda design is inspired by the shape of Queen's Breast. That's all I know about this pagoda.

It was an early morning and almost no visitor. If you want to take great photo, you will need a wide angel lens to capture the whole pagoda. As it is huge,  it was quite hard and tide to capture the whole pagoda with my 18mm lens.

Mandalay to Sagaing

Sagaing town is about 30 minutes drive away from Mandalay. I passed Sagaing on my way to Monywa . I paid a short visit to Kaung Mu Daw Pagoda in Sagaing as the pogoda is located on Mandalay - Sagaing Highway. I wish I could make it to visit Sagaing Hill but due to time limitation I skipped it. I will post Kaung Mu Daw pagoda photos in next post. All the photos in this post were taken from the car so they are not sharp and clear but I really like some of the photos especially rural scenes.

Yangon to Mandalay

This is Yangon Bus Interchange. This is the place where you can take bus to all over the country. I was here to take bus to Mandalay which will take about 8 hrs. It leaves 9pm from Yangon and arrives Mandalay at 6am next day. There are a lot of buses which run with  different schedules from Yangon to Mandalay.

The bus stopped at 115 miles about 1am for supper/toilet break. You can find a lot of fast food restaurants on that station.

Visit to Feel Restaurant

I walked to Feel restaurant from Happy World amusement park. I was quite far actually. This restaurant is quite popular among tourists because it sells varieties of Burmese foods. I think almost all the famous Burmese foods are available according to their menu. It was full house at that time and I had to wait to get a free table.

I was my first visit to this restaurant so I was not sure what to order. I only ate Mont Hin Gar and Fried Kway Teow with Seafood (ကတ္ၾကီးကုိက္). In my opinion, the taste is very average and nothing special. They also short of staff because I had to wait quite long to order food as well as food waiting time.

Happy World Amusement Park, Yangon

Opposite to Shwe Dagon Pagoda, you can see Happy World Amusement Park. This was my first time visited to this park. The only thing I did in Happy World was using the massage chair. I was so happy to find massage chairs as I walked very long way on that morning. The staff had to wake me up when the time was up because I was totally fall asleep on that massage chair. :) You can see the massage chair photo below.

Visit to Shwe Dagon Pagoda

Every time we go back Myanmar, no matter where we live, we have to enter the country from Yangon. If I were in Yangon, I cannot resist to visit Shwe Dagaon pagoda. I went there before going back to Mandalay in the afternoon. It was a rainy day so I could take a lot of photos.

View from Marina Barrage

This photos was taken last 2 years ago. I don't really like to shoot landscape photo in Singapore as it always turns out similar to other people's photos. These are my version of Singapore night landscape from Marina Barrage.
